Reflecting on my year 2008

2008 was a very good year for me. I had gastric bypass surgery on 2/13/08. I was really scared but it worked for the best. I have lost 150 lbs so far. I would like to be 175 lbs. I went to San Diego in July for SDCC 2008. This was the trip that I had been talking about since January 2008. It was a blast thanks to Kitty DSC & Jenna DSC. I stayed at the Marriott Marina. I loved the fun we had. We enjoyed bicycle taxis to the Fishmarket restaurant. The taxis were driven by some very cute Portugese men. Yum. On Friday, July 25th, 2008, we got a message from Jeff DSC saying that there was 500 people hanging outside of Hall H to find out that there was only 100 people in front of us. We had so much fun talking to a drunk producer from Attack of the Show. We took a ton of video and slept as much as we could. We had awesome seats for the Heroes panel. It was so worth every penny to see the cast of the best.show.on.tv. I wish I had been closer but the camcorder worked perfectly. I almost had a chance to get into a signing with Milo Ventimiglia but security was acting like shit. I decided to go to the REST panel instead where I got front row seats. There was a mini meetup in the room-HP,ZQ,DD,LL,RC.MV,MV dad in the house. That was so awesome. I was going to stay after but I needed to get back to the hotel to get cleaned up for dinner at Buca. We were going to hang out with Dino, Russ and possibly Milo but they were rushed out of town for security reasons. No bigs. The rest of the trip was fun. The next big thing was the Heroes premiere which was September 22nd-my birthday. I gave a friend of a friend tickets to the premiere in LA. I got the best birthday present ever-a dual happy birthday greeting from Milo and Adrian. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I plan on going back to SDCC in 2010. Happy holidays to one and all.

Baby, it's cold outside

I woke up to discover a lovely temperature of 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Brrr! I wish I was in Las Vegas to see the marathon tomorrow. Sendhil mentioned Adrian and Milo are running it tomorrow. Good luck to you. I bet we shall see some photos of them running.

Lunch time but no lunch

I'm sitting here at work on lunch deciding what I want to eat today. Silly me(mi) forgot to pack her lunch. I wish I had leftovers from Thursday still. I'm getting food later but i can't decide what-italian? mexican? Oh well. Eclipse part 2 is tomorrow. I can't wait. No one seems to be online due to the holiday weekend-boo.

True Blood/Entourage/new rip it video/Grunny love

Happy Heroes Monday. The Eclipse is about to happen tonight on my fav show. We get 2 splashdowns-splashPeter & splashNathan. Then we get brofight & bromance. Weee.

I digress-me sorry. True Blood is becoming another favorite for me. Last night, Bill and Sam bothed saved Sookie's butt. Then, she and Sam saved Bill's butt. Rene-you are so poofed in the most disgusting way. Maryanne-who are you? Jessica went from biblebeater to vamp hooker in one episode. Whose legs aree hanging from Andy Bellefleur's car?

Entourage rocked it. I can't believe that Vince got the lead in a Scorcese flick. Way to go, E & Ari. Nice cameo, Mr. Phelps.

Joe DSC from Seattle made an awesome Rip It video. I nearly peed myself it was so funny.

I got a retwit from Grunny in responds to me asking him to say hi to Buckshotwon, Cristine, and Sendhil for me. I also said I want the Heroes cast under my tree this year. He responded by saying 'will do. You better not pout-I'm telling you why...' I want to retwit back to him by saying 'Petrelli Claus is coming to town. I also a twit from him saying there is no way the strike will happen. That made me happy. He also mentioned the ratings will settle down. Woohoo.

Ok. My hair is wet. My lunch needs to be prepared. I need to go. Ttyl.

More snow/Who is Nate?/embarassing moment

The lake effect snow machine has started up again. We are getting a good chunk of snow right now. To me, it's too early for snow.

There seems to be a new blogmaster at the DSC blogsite-Nate. Is he Nathan aka Adrian or is he a pseudo name. Oh well.

I saw Twilight and it was very romantic. I know people who have seen it twice and plan on seeing 2 more times this weekend.

I fainted last night in front of co workers. I was so embarassed. I wish I could take back last night. Kenny and Andy are so cute. I ONLY had 1 glass of wine.

I found Voltron:Defender of the Universe on Itunes. I'm fangirling over this cartoon. Voltron is so cool.

Snow and a poll

Winter is starting here in western NY. I got a dusting of snow last night while places east of here got 1 foot of the white stuff and places southwest of here got 2.5 feet of snow. This means all the ski resorts are opening and/or making snow.

I read a blog about restaurants and I thought I would mention my favorite italian place-Grazie in Toronto Canada. Best penza on the planet(rigatoni with vodka sauce).

Weird holiday dream last night

I dreamt that I had a very weird Thanksgiving and Christmas with my fictional family. I was Claire in the dream. My grandmother didn't want me at Thanksgiving or Christmas because my grandfather would want to 'hug me out'. This wouldn't be too good for moi . My dad made me cry. My uncle wanted me to be around for the holidays, but dad and my grandmother put their feet down on that. The dream is very broken up. I'll have to try to re establish it tonight. In other news, it's very cold here compared to the firestorm in So Cal. Praying for all my So Cal DSCers. Love ya and stay safe. XOXO.

It's raining

It's been raining outside all day. I've been bored all day. I went to the market twice today. Once to buy vitamin D and a multivitamin. I then need a prescription filled out. Lovely waste of gasoline. I'm wearing my soft DSC shirt. I'm watching the Wedding Planner right now with Matthew McCaughney & J.Lo. That would make for a cute fiction with certain nameless characters *cough* No princess exploits today.

Purses and other thoughts

Russ over at the DSC blog posted about what was in his bag. It was a cool post. I added my two cents. I see myself visiting that blog quite frequently.

Please for the love of God, don't even think about cancelling Heroes. I love my show and TK's characters especially the Petrellis. I would love to see a spinoff called The Petrellis. That would be cool. I'm going off to hang out in the hot tub Friday. I need to release my frustrations over the negativity aimed at Heroes.

Cool hand painted drinking glasses

Hi. Welcome to the my condo. The hot tub is waiting and the fellas are sitting on red leather chairs in the corner-all 3 of them. The doctor, the congressmen and the bad boy. I was out Christmas shopping on Saturday when I sawsome really cool drinking glasses. You name it-they had it-margarita, shot, wine, champagne, beer pints, and mugs. I also need to vent. Stop being so negative for Heroes. This season has so rocked. I Have Become Death and Villains are my favorites episodes so far. I don't want to even think about the c word. If that happens, I will cancel my EW subscription immediately and boycott NBC forever more. I love the Petrellicest so much.
